Rafe

 

Rafe is the first puppy whom I did not breed to join my household in over 20 years. When I was looking for a a puppy, I couldn't think of a better source than Pat Kopec and Julia Wilson of Koping Weimaraners and I don't think I could have made  better choice.  I am thrilled with Rafe's conformation, sweet personality, and willingness to learn.  

We have had a busy couple of weeks with visits to my dog training club, Home Depot, a friend's farm and pond, and retrieving practices with the Tarheel Weimaraner Club.  Up next is a weekend spectating at a local agility trial.  Looking forward to all that is to come with this young boy.

Rafe and I had fun earning his Trick Dog Novice title at my club's agility trial in July, and he completed his Star Puppy class in early August. We have continued retrieving training and begun obedience and rally training.  The big news from Labor Day weekend is that at his first conformation shows at the Tarheel cluster in Raleigh, the six and a half month boy was awarded two five point majors and four reserves. As always, huge thanks to Michelle Scott who handled him beautifully.
