Murphy/Ed
Murphy (Ch Bivins Frieslands Moonlight in Vermont NSD) was bred to Ed (Ch Frieslands Edsger Frost JH), and five puppies (three boys and two girls) were born on September 17. Like the breeding last year of Wally (Murphy's littermate) to Ed, this breeding has been planned since Ed's semen was collected. We were pleased with the results of the Wally and Ed breeding so have proceeded with the planned Murphy and Ed breeding. Oldtime breeders had a philosophy that some of the best results occur when the sire of the sire is also the grandsire of the dam on the dam's side. We have once again put this philosophy into practice as Ch Normans Greywind Robert Frost BROM is Ed's sire and Murphy's grandsire on her mother's side. I am hoping to consolidate the best traits of my dogs in this litter. Bivins Wish Upon A Star (Julia) is the puppy we kept from this litter.
